CAN LED LIGHT TO EASE PERI MENOPAUSAL/MENOPAUSAL SYMPTOMS?

Different frequencies of light from red and NIR light therapy penetrate the body at different depths. Some work just under the skin, while others reach deeper tissues, bones and even internal organs.

On the level of cells, it supports mitochondria and cells and helps them proliferate while at the same time clearing them from free radicals. All of this helps increase energy production in the mitochondria and raises cellular energy levels which translates into higher energy levels in general. At the same time, it boosts oxygenation which also contributes to overall cellular health.

But how exactly does red light work for hormonal symptoms?

Symptom 1: hormonal breakouts

Hormonal fluctuations can cause breakouts, pigmentation and uneven skin tone. Some women even begin to suffer with adult acne during peri/menopause (myself included!)

How LED can help

BLUE LIGHT reduces bacteria and helps control oil so breakouts are less frequent. RED  & NEAR INFRARED support skin renewal boost collagen and help skin recover more quickly.

Symptom 2: Dry thinning or itchy skin

This is because oestrogen declines collagen and hyaluronic acid produced is naturally slow, which can lead to dryness irritation and thinning skin.

How LED can help

RED  & NEAR INFRARED light stimulates collagen and strengthens the skin barrier overtime skin can feel plumper, stronger and more comfortable

Symptoms 3: joint pain, muscle aches & physical tension

How LED can help

The link between LED and musculoskeletal pain as well established and research near infrared penetrates into the deepest life of the skin even reaching tissue and nerves to target joint pain.

Symptom 4: disturbed sleep/low mood

Sleep can decline during menopause when the production of serotonin is inhibited.. this is also responsible for balancing sleep and mood.

How LED can help

Red plus near infrared light promotes relaxation and can support more restful sleep. It also triggers the release of beta-endorphins, hormones which have analgesic and mood lifting properties.
